Not only does NSF provide my funding right now, they also provide me with opportunities to do more than research.
See, Dr. Hand-Waver has to go serve on NSF review panels every so often, generally in the middle of the school year. This means that she has to get someone to cover her classes for her…and that someone is me.
Given how much I’ve missed teaching, you’d better believe I take these opportunities eagerly. Yay teaching!
