one down, two to go…

My EPA-STAR application has been submitted. I had an incredibly hard time writing my research proposal, but it’s done and my advisor has given it her stamp of approval. Of course, it’s outside her field of specialty (I wrote about something *I* wanted to do), but she did seem to catch all the scientifically-relevant mistakes that I made in the first draft.

Now I just have to finish up my NSF and NDSEG applications. These should be a lot easier–the NSF only requires minor tweaking of my personal essay and research proposal plus a new essay on research experience, while the NDSEG only really requires one very short essay. So I’m a lot less worried about these.
