A commenter on FSP’s blog linked to the following study in which seventh graders were asked to draw (and write) their perceptions of scientists before and after visiting FermiLab.

My favorite blurb comes from Ashley:

“You can not judge a book by the cover!” Scientists come in all shapes and forms. Women, men, chemists, biologists, and physicists are all in the field of science.

I like the way her statement seemingly enumerates chemists, biologists, and physicists as being different from women and men.
