it’s hard to twiddle my thumbs

As I’ve mentioned before, I used to be a CERT instructor.  My responsibility was teaching the search & rescue portion of the course.  So when I see news footage of a disaster, like the footage from today’s Moore, OK twister, my impulse is to get on a plane and fly out and help.

I don’t, of course.  But it’s hard to sit around and do nothing.

Today it’s especially hard because SharkWrestler’s mom lives in Moore; she lost her house in the tornado.  (Luckily, she works about 10 miles away and therefore was unhurt.)

I want to help.  I want to do *something*.  AAAAAAH.
